What is the format for these leagues?
Approximate season dates will be late April through July.
What kind of equipment is needed for someone just starting lacrosse? Boys: Certified Helmet, mouth guard, shoulder/body pads, elbow pads, gloves, athletic supporter/cup, turf shoes/ (football) cleats, and a stick (cross). Girls: Goggles, mouth guard, turf shoes and stick Boys & Girls Goalies: Neck protector (attaches to helmet), goalie stick (club has some), goalie padding. Watch for new/slightly used equipment for sale in the Exchange section.
Who coaches the kids? Coaches must attend a Certification Clinic and be over 18 years of age. Also, experienced past and present high school and college players have been hired to teach the game.
Why do I have to sign up with US Lacrosse? Registering your player at www.uslacrosse.orgprovides insurance and supplemental medical coverage for players and coaches. A US Lacrosse membership number is required before the player is allowed to practice/play on a team. This number must be renewed annually.
